This provides access to letters, numbers and punctuation. A Spell+ folder is available for grid sizes 5*7 and higher. The number of folders in the dictionary varies with the number of buttons in the arrangement. They enable a user to more efficiently access a content word without needing to navigate through many pages. The Dictionary icon links to folders that are not represented on the HOME page. Within this format there are adequate open locations for customization. Since the contents of the theme pages is the same, it was determined to be optimal to keep the format the same. Arrangements 5*9 and higher link to a consistent 5*9 grid size. The Sentence Starter and Theme links for the through 5*7 grid sizes match the button size of the Main page. These may include Sentence Starters, a Dictionary, a customizable Names folder, and a Spell+ folder. As the grid size becomes more complex and more buttons are available, additional folders and functions are added. All grid sizes minimally contain a Themes, a Quick Chat folder and the Clear function. The contents of the Toolbar varies with the grid size. Using the Visibility feature of Proloquo2Go, these buttons can be dimmed or hidden if they are deemed inappropriate for the user.
The items contained in the toolbar are colored in black and have a white font so they can easily be differentiated from the core vocabulary.
